Dame Dash has done his best to stay in headlines recently. Through that effort, he’s done many things that have changed the way people see the former Roc-A-Fella Records founder.
What Did Dame Dash Do?
Through his highly-publicized beef with former friend Cam’ron, Dash has been talking in many interviews. Because of this, he’s spoken on Cam and his former collaborator JAY-Z, leading to getting dissed by both. In response, he previewed a freestyle with his artist Nicky Licky that made many fans cringe.
In it, Nicky Licky disses JAY-Z and Cam’ron on Dash’s behalf.
“Who the f*** disrespects an OG/The Mutha***** helped you like he helped me,” Licky raps. “And I think it’s looking plain to see/this starting to look gay like Jason Lee. “And your man (inaudible) breath stank too/Matter fact, all y’all breath stank, you the breath stank crew.”
Dash then actually raps, continuing the breath stank bit.
The clip has led to several reactions, mostly negative. Cam’ron himself felt the need to respond, taking a somber approach.
“All jokes a side, I really have second hand embarrassment,” Cam’ron commented. “This is sad I’m sorry everyone that he turned out like this. We’re gonna do a case study to see what happened to him. This might be a ‘get out’ situation.”
Who Else Chimed In About The Situation?
Some notable people popped in the comments, with almost universal sadness over the freestyle.
“Nicky Licky got forced to say all of this… you know the gay bar punchline was super mid & she didn’t wanna say it but Dame insisted,” Anthony Danza posted.
“This ain’t it y’all (Charlemagne voice) pause,” Donjaididit posted.
“I like Dame and he’s done a lot for the culture but no sir this isn’t it. Let’s talk more about your record label coming out and your deal with BET which are dope!,” Bsideradio posted.
“Dame.. I love you fam… stop, like seriously dawg, stop…..,” Chris McLendon posted.
Dame Dash has not revealed when the new freestyle will drop, but it doesn’t seem like people will be waiting with baited breath.
