Music executive Dame Dash recently sat down for an interview. And had some interesting things to say about Jay-Z and Ye, formerly known as Kanye West.
Dame Picks Kanye’s Catalog Over Jay-Z’s
During the interview, Dame was asked about the comparisons between Jay-Z and Kanye’s musical catalogs. Even though Jay’s 25 Grammy awards have bested Kanye’s 24, Dash still thinks Ye’s catalog “destroys” Jay-Z’s
“Kanye destroys Jay. It’s not even the same class. As far as artistry goes, and being creative and all the verticals that are stimulated,” Dash said in a clip caught by YZYUpdates on X.
“Jay can’t do a clothing line. Kanye has a movement; he’s unstoppable. [He] doesn’t need anybody to fill an arena.” “Kanye is different, and he’s bipolar. He’s pure art. The world should be so grateful for Kanye’s presence cause he keeps things so interesting. The world would be so boring without Kanye.”
Dame Dash says Ye’s catalog “destroys” Jay-Z’s and says the world should be so grateful for Ye’s presence because it would be so boring without him.

Ye & Hov’s Beef Explained
Kanye and Jay-Z were one of the hottest duos in rap at one point. But that chapter is likely closed permanently. Especially after the Yeezy creator called his and Beyonce’s twins Sir and Rumi “ret****d,” back in 2025.
However, following a myriad of backlashes, Ye also said that he “felt bad” about his comments. He also said he made the comments because he was upset with Jay-Z and Beyoncé for isolating themselves from him in recent years.

I FELT LIKE BOTH HE AND HIS WIFE COULD HAVE HELPED ME HAVE MORE LEVERAGE WITH MY KIDS. THEY COULD HAVE USED THEIR CULTURAL POSITION TO NOT JUST WATCH THE KARDASHIANS RUN ME OVER.
