Midwest rapper Dave Blunts has released the music video for his 50 Cent diss track “Hey Curtis,” and it’s already turning heads online.
The visuals open with Blunts re-creating the iconic In Da Club intro, hanging upside down before hitting the gym in a parody workout scene complete with nurses. The homage is deliberate — and designed to mock Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson on his own turf.
Blunts delivers sharp bars throughout the record, spitting lines like “Curtis Jackson don’t really want no drama” and “We gon’ beef ’til the very day that I die.” The track marks his second direct shot at 50 this year, following an earlier diss that accused the G-Unit star of falling off.
The beef stems from a since-deleted Instagram post where 50 Cent threatened Blunts with the caption: “Ye this ya manz, if I catch him I’m pushing him down the stairs.” Blunts clapped back by trolling 50’s 2011 film All Things Fall Apart and swapping his own profile pic with an image of 50 from the movie.
Reactions to the new video have been split — some fans applaud Blunts for the gutsy move, while others see it as a clout chase. On social media, one user wrote: “This is wild disrespectful but creative at the same time,” while another said: “Bold move, but 50 hasn’t even acknowledged him yet.”
For now, the ball is in 50 Cent’s court. Whether he responds or stays silent, Dave Blunts has successfully injected himself into the conversation with a headline-grabbing diss and a video fans won’t soon forget.
