Dave Blunts has painted Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, as the catalyst of his 2025 feud with 50 Cent.
Dave Blunts Says Kanye Was the Catalyst of His & 50 Cent’s Beef
During a recent appearance on the Bootleg Kev Podcast, Blunts revealed that 50 made unsavory comments about Ye and his wife, Bianca Censori, that led to the two of them feuding.
“The only reason I said something is that he said something about Ye, and we were working together. But Ye and I weren’t just working together. We were friends,” Blunts said (via 2Cool2Blog/X). “So we were talking on the phone, and I think 50 had come out and said something about his wife. And I just didn’t know what to do when it comes to this shit. I got a lot of s**t going on, and he was f*****g with 50 at the time.”
The rapper said that he intervened because he knew that Ye, at the time, was going on social media rampages. The majority of which went unaddressed. But he knew that 50 wouldn’t hesitate to respond. And he likely wouldn’t let up. And with Dave being concerned about Kanye’s mental state, he couldn’t let that happen.
“So I was like ‘aye don’t say nothing’ because I know he’s not going to stop if you respond to him. And I don’t know necessarily because of the mental state that you’re in right now, if you can handle it. But I’m with bulls**t all of the time.

Blunts later released a 50 Cent diss track titled “Hey Curtis” in response to 50 Cent attacking his weight and threatening him on social media. The song, which has an accompanying music video parodying 50’s hit record “In Da Club,” attacks the rapper’s acting career, personal life, and alleged involvement with Diddy.
At the time of writing, 50 Cent has not responded to the comments made by Dave Blunts.
