38 Spesh’s beef with rap star Jim Jones is already proving to have a ripple effect. Dave East appears to have removed Spesh’s verse from his new album, Price of Pain.
Dave East Nixes 38 Spesh From New Album
In an earlier version of the tracklist, Spesh appears as one of the featured artists on the project’s fifth track titled Follow My Lead. Along with Snoop Dogg. However, on the final version of the tracklist, 38 Spesh’s name does not appear. As the song now only features Snoop Dogg.

Of course, fans had a lot to say about the apparent slight on social media.
“Ima Dave East fan… but Spesh being takin off HIS track is NOT a big deal… at all,” one user wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“Dave East is a poor man’s idea of a NY rapper anyways let’s be honest,” a second user chimed in.
“Spesh done more for Dave East than Dave East has ever done for Spesh,” a third user remarked.
Dave East has not commented on why he chose to remove 38 Spesh from his album. But it seems pretty significant that Spesh is amid a heated rap feud with Jim Jones. East and Jim are co-stars on the Let’s Rap About It podcast. Along with Fabolous and Maino.
The source of the feud between Jim Jones and Spesh started after the latter insisted that he wanted lyrical warfare with Jadakiss. Jones suggested that Spesh was biting off a little more than he could chew. And Spesh fired back and pretty much told Jim to stay out of his business.
It will be interesting to see how Spesh responds to being nixed from Dave East’s album.
