The family of Qualeisha Barnes, a rapper and entrepreneur known as Siditty, is mourning a devastating loss after she was fatally shot.
Barnes was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds to the face in the driver’s seat of her white SUV around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday on Springfield Place SE, per the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office. Authorities say the gunfire came from outside the vehicle, striking her fatally.
The Atlanta Police Department has classified the case as a homicide, yet no suspect has been identified at this time. Officials have not yet determined what led up to the shooting but investigators are currently reviewing surveillance footage and speaking with nearby residents as the case remains active.
News of Barnes’ death has sparked an outpouring of grief across social media, with friends and family sharing tributes honoring her life and legacy.
Originally from Detroit, Barnes had built a name for herself both as an hometown favorite artist and as the CEO of her online retail brand, So Siditty Boutique. Loved ones say she was also pursuing a nursing degree and was close to graduating at the time of her death.
