Amid his federal investigation, Sean “Diddy” Combs lost a lot of supporters. Especially when the video of him assaulting Cassie was released. But he has found an unlikely ally in Ye, formerly known as rap star Kanye West.
Ye shocked everyone on Friday (June 27) when he released a new project with Diddy’s son “King” Christian Combs.

West executive produced the seven-song EP “Never Stop.” It even features an appearance by Kanye’s daughter, North West, on the first track, “Lonely Roads.”
West has not been shy about his support for the Bad Boy Records founder. During an interview with DJ Akademiks earlier this year he sported a shirt from Combs’ Sean John Brand.
He also showed up at the courthouse for Diddy’s trial in June.
Prior, to that Ye revealed that he and Diddy had been in communication while he was still incarcerated awaiting trial. Ye shared a portion of one of their telephone conversations where he was thankful to the Grammy winner for staying in contact with his children.
“I just want to thank you so much for just taking care of my kids, man. Ain’t nobody reached out to them, ain’t nobody called. Nobody,” Diddy says.
“That meant so much that you reached out to them and took them under your wing while I’m in this m*********a. I appreciate you. Word up, man.”
To bring things up to speed, the Bad Boys Records founder is accused of being the mastermind behind a sex trafficking ring that spanned longer than two decades.
During that same phone conversation, Diddy affirmed that he would beat his case. And eventually “get next to” Ye.
“You be careful out there ’cause they are trying to end us. They can’t do it and they ain’t gonna do it. I’m going to beat this s–t and get next to you,” Diddy said to Ye.
“I’ll tell you the real from the front line. This s–t is wicked, wicked, wicked, so you be careful.”
Jury deliberation in Diddy’s trial is set to begin next week.
