Sean “Diddy” Combs is learning the hard way that there are consequences for your actions in federal lockup. And unfortunately, his actions have earned him additional prison time.
Diddy Set to Spend More Time Behind Bars
According to a November 12 article from PEOPLE, the Bad Boy Records founder will have to spend nearly an additional month behind bars. The outlet notes that it is “not clear” why Diddy’s release date has been pushed back. However, the presumption has been that it is due to infractions during his first month at Fort Dix FCI.
According to a November 7 report from TMZ, the Bad Boy Records founder was recently busted for drinking. The outlet reported that Combs was caught with an alcohol mixture of “Fanta, sugar, and apples.” The substance made by inmates can “ferment into an alcoholic substance” after two weeks.
The outlet also noted that prison officials were initially going to move him into a new cell. But ultimately decided to let him stay put.
However, despite the multitude of stories that are currently circulating, a spokesperson for the music mogul denies that any infractions have occurred.
“There have been several false and reckless reports circulating about Mr. Combs. He has not violated any prison rules. His sobriety and self-discipline are priorities, and he is taking them seriously,” the spokesperson told the outlet.
They also added:
“This is only his first week at FCI Fort Dix, and unfortunately, rumors will surface throughout his time there. We ask the public and the press to give him the benefit of the doubt, the privacy to focus on his personal growth, and the grace to move forward in peace.”
To bring things up to speed, Combs was sentenced to 50 months behind bars by a judge in October after being found guilty of interstate prostitution in May. But now, Combs will spend even more time in prison, it appears.
