Diddy has begun serving his 50-month prison sentence at Fort Dix Correctional Facility in New Jersey. In May, the Bad Boy Records Founder was found guilty of interstate prostitution.

Diddy was just recently transferred to Fort Dix after officially being sentenced on October 3. But already he is running into some familiar faces. In recent photos obtained by TMZ, the music mogul can be seen engaging with former NBA star Sebastian Telfair.

Like Combs, Telfair is also a New York City native. And gained notoriety as one of the city’s top high school hoops stars in the early 2000s.

And now for the question that everyone is waiting for. Why is Sebastian Telfair in prison?

Well, remember that ring of NBA players that defrauded the league by receiving reimbursements for medical services that they never received? Telfair was a part of that scheme. And was found guilty of receiving more than $358,000 in reimbursement.

What is even more bizarre about this story is that Telfair received a pretty sweet deal, given the nature of his crimes. He got time served and three and a half years on supervised release.

However, the former Portland Trail Blazers point guard violated the terms of his release. Including a failure to report for community service. As a result, Telfair was sentenced to serve six months in Fort Dix. After receiving his sentence, the former high school basketball star said that he was hoping to have his sentence commuted by United States President Donald Trump. He also called the sentence “super unfair.”

“I’m mad,” he said. “I don’t wanna be doing no federal time and all that. You know, I’m a good person and have done so much good shit for people and for my community… Shouldn’t be doing no time for no community service.”
