Even after his 2025 conviction, Bad Boy Records founder Sean “Diddy” Combs is still dealing with other legal issues. One of those issues is a lawsuit involving his former producer, Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones. But the music mogul is preparing to fight back.
Diddy Preparing Counterclaim Against Lil Rod
Jones, who helped produce Diddy’s 2023 project, The Love Album: Off The Grid, filed a $30 million lawsuit in February 2024.
However, according to an exclusive from AllHipHop, Combs and his attorneys are preparing a counterclaim against his former producer.
According to the outlet, “recent conduct and facts that have emerged,” inspired the counterclaim.
In Lil Rod’s lawsuit, he alleged that he was a victim of sexual assault, harassment, drugging, and sex trafficking. More specifically, Jones says he was forced to engage in sexual acts with sex workers and was subjected to unwanted sexual touching by Combs for more than a year.
The producer was one of the subjects interviewed for 50 Cent’s 2025 Netflix documentary, Sean Combs: The Reckoning. A film that explores Diddy’s decades of criminal behaviour. In the film, Lil Rod gives a graphic account of what he experienced.
“There were days we would party. I would wake up not knowing what the hell happened. Some days, there were girls next to me. Woke up some days, he was in the bed,” Jones said. “I would wake up feeling sore, still not understanding exactly what’s, you know what I am saying, transpiring. But this is me starting to understand that I was drugged pretty often.”
At the time of writing, Jones has not released a statement about Combs’ alleged counterclaim.
