Sean “Diddy” Combs was reportedly placed in solitary confinement this week following a physical altercation with another inmate at the Federal Correctional Institution Fort Dix in New Jersey.
According to TMZ, the dispute allegedly began after another inmate insulted the 56-year-old Bad Boy Records founder. The argument reportedly escalated into a fight, with both men exchanging punches before prison staff intervened. Sources claimed Combs “held his own” during the altercation.
Following the incident, Combs was reportedly moved to solitary confinement. A representative for the Federal Bureau of Prisons declined to discuss the matter, citing privacy, safety and security concerns surrounding individual inmates and disciplinary actions.
Combs is serving a 50-month federal sentence after being convicted in 2025 on two counts of transportation for the purpose of prostitution. He was acquitted of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking charges. After receiving credit for time already served, he is currently expected to be released in February 2028.
