Diddy’s Mother Slammed With Lawsuit Ahead of Federal Trial

The past two years for Sean “Diddy” Combs have been a downward spiral. Diddy’s spiraling culminated with the Bad Boy founder being arrested last September for sex trafficking charges. Since Diddy’s arrest, several other people have come forward, alleging that they have also been victimized by the music mogul.

Diddy’s Mother Arrest Ahead of Star’s Federal Trial

Diddy’s federal trafficking case starts on May 5. However, the drama surrounding the case is already heating up. And it is Diddy’s mother, Janice Combs, who has come under fire most recently.

Kirk Burrowes, the co-founder of Diddy’s Bad Boy record label is suing the music mogul’s mom. Burrowes alleges that Janice illegally took over his 25% ownership stake in the company. This occurred after Diddy threatened Kirk and coerced him into forfeiting his share of Bad Boy Records. By rushing into his office wielding a baseball bat in 1996.

The new lawsuit filed in New York alleges that Janice was aware of how Diddy went about obtaining Burrrowes’ 25% of the company. And conspired with him to get it done.

“Smalls carefully maintained a facade of integrity. Portraying herself as an innocent bystander while orchestrating plaintiff’s financial and professional downfall behind the scenes,” the filing states.

“Through false assurances and calculated deceit, defendant Smalls led plaintiff to believe that she had no knowledge of the fraudulent transfer. Effectively suppressing any opportunity for plaintiff to reclaim his rightful stake in [Bad Boy].”

This isn’t the first instance of Diddy’s actions affecting his family members. When the FBI raided his home in Miami last year his sons Justin and King Combs were present at the residence. And authorities handcuffed and detained them during the search.

That wasn’t the end of the drama with the music mogul’s sons, however. Amid Diddy’s legal issues, Ray J had some disparaging things to say about the Bad Boy Founder. And King approached Ray J at a club about his comments.

It will be interesting to see how everything unfolds in the coming months.
