Music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs could be a free man sooner than expected. According to his son, King Combs.
Diddy’s Son Shows Optimism About Potential Early Release
TMZ caught up with King Combs at the airport on Tuesday (November 25) and said that he and his family had their “fingers crossed” as it pertained to a potential early release for the Bad Boy Records founder.
King also appeared to hint at a potential early release for Diddy. He noted that he and his family would be playing his newly-released song Diddy Free throughout the holidays. But said that fans should stay alert because he “might not have to” continue playing the song. Appearing to insinuate that Combs could be released from prison before the year is out.
To bring things up to speed, Combs was arrested by federal agents in September 2024. He was initially facing life in prison after being hit with charges of prostitution, trafficking, and racketeering. Fortunately for him, he was only convicted of interstate prostitution charges. And was sentenced to 50 months in prison.
However, even after receiving his sentence, Combs and his attorneys have worked tirelessly to get him released from prison. They have gone to great lengths, even reaching out to United States President Donald Trump, hoping to receive a presidential pardon.
Trump also confirmed that Combs reached out for a pardon. And it makes sense why. Rap stars such as Kodak Black and NBA Youngboy have had their sentences commuted in the past.
However, although Trump confirmed that Diddy’s representatives have been in contact, he hasn’t confirmed whether or not he is willing to grant the Bad Boy Records founder a pardon. Especially given the fact that he made some unsavory remarks about Combs in the past.
As it currently stands, Diddy will be released from prison in June of 2026.
