DJ Akademiks is urging caution as tensions rise between Joe Budden, Glasses Malone, and popular streamer Adin Ross. Speaking on his platform, Akademiks warned that continuing to target Ross could be a serious mistake.
According to Akademiks, Ross operates with an entirely different level of resources and protection than many may realize. “The n***a is spending a wild amount of money, he’s coming with mad police, and then he’s coming with eight security guards that are armed,” Akademiks said, emphasizing that Ross isn’t moving casually or without significant security.
Akademiks also pushed back against what he described as a recurring mindset within hip-hop culture. “I think gangstas keep thinking that they can just bully everybody else,” he said, suggesting that underestimating Ross could lead to real-world consequences. He specifically addressed Glasses Malone’s involvement, warning that whoever is pressing the streamer may be putting themselves in serious danger.
“You’re probably gonna get your head knocked off messing with Adin,” Akademiks added bluntly, making it clear he believes the situation could escalate quickly if it continues.
The comments highlight the growing friction between traditional hip-hop figures and internet personalities, as online disputes increasingly blur into real-life confrontations. As of now, neither Budden, Glasses Malone, nor Adin Ross has publicly responded to Akademiks’ warning.
