Tonight, “Money Trees” and longtime Kendrick Lamar sonic architect DJ Dahi is dropping his heavily anticipated debut album Black Boy Alternative.
To commemorate the moment, Dahi dropped the music video for his Kendrick Lamar and Amber Mark collaboration “How To Pray.”
The music video is shot in dark color schemes as the video uses a split screen technology to watch the full thing. This encourages listeners to grab friends and put two phones together to watch it as intended, creating a human connection aspect to the sharing of music.
Each vignette is about two people with differing experiences and perspectives learning from each other, as they tell their side of the story, revealing more when they combine.
