DJ Enuff has fired back at Funk Flex after the recent allegations that the Hot97 DJ made against him.
DJ Enuff Fires Back at Funk Flex
In a recent social media post, Flex accused Enuff of accepting payola from artists such as French Montana and Maino. Enuff took to social media on Tuesday (July 21) and appeared to issue a response to the claims that Flex was making. He called him out for painting a “false narrative.”
“It’s unfortunate that one individual is attempting to paint a false narrative about who I am, and disappointing to see my name spoken about in a negative light,” Enuff wrote on Instagram on Tuesday. “In my 35-plus years in the radio industry, I have never had anyone speak badly of me. I was raised with respect, and that is the standard I hold myself to in everything I do.”
Enuff also said that his ultimate goal has been to push the culture forward. And believes that there is enough space for all of the DJs to shine.
“I’ve always believed there’s room for a community of DJs. My focus has never been on tearing anyone down; it’s been on building people up and contributing to the culture,” he added. “Whenever I’ve had the opportunity to help another DJ, artist, or industry professional through an introduction or a platform they might not otherwise have had access to, I’ve done so without expecting anything in return.”
The issues between Flex and Enuff began last August. When Enuff was nixed from Hot97. Enuff accused Flex of going behind his back so he could replace him in the 5 pm slot at the radio station.
