DJ Khaled recently appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and gave an update on his forthcoming album, Alam of God.
DJ Khaled Gives Update on Forthcoming Album
Khaled said that the album was supposed to be coming out “this week.”
But insisted that he has had to delay the forthcoming projects because it keeps getting “bigger and bigger.” And because of the hype of the project, it needs to be released on a “bigger date.”
“That’s just how it goes in music, you know what I’m saying. I’ve been doing music for 20 years. I put out 13 albums. I am beyond grateful for everything that we’ve done. And I live, breathe, sleep, and embrace hip-hop because that’s what I am. But this next album, Alam of God, it’s like, why am I going to rush? And it’s like every time I make new music I get the opportunity to make something even bigger.
Khaled also goes on to say that in the process of making the album, he has been inspired by Jay-Z. After attending his performances at the Roots Picnic and his three nights of shows at Yankee Stadium earlier this month.
He says he drew inspiration from Hov’s performances, and that inspired him to make the project even bigger.
Of course, some fans on social media still had a lot to say about the album delay.
“We not buying that excuse, Khaled,” one user wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

And while Khaled doesn’t give an official release date for Alam of God, he does tease that he does have new music coming. Which could potentially be a single from the forthcoming project.
