The fallout of the 2024 rap beef between Drake and Kendrick Lamar has had a lasting domino effect. One of those effects is Drizzy’s beef with rap stars Future and Rick Ross. And while many people have chosen a side, others have chosen to stay neutral in the beef. One of those people is super-producer DJ Khaled.
DJ Khaled Weighs in on Drake’s Beef With Future & Rick Ross
During a recent appearance on Fat Joe and Jadakiss’s Joe & Jada podcast, Khaled was asked about his position in the beef. In response, Khaled says he had always been the peacemaker when it came to internal issues in the crew.
“I’m the one out of the crew that always says, ‘Yo, we don’t need that.’ We need to come together, we need love,” Khaled explained.
The legendary hit maker went on to explain that an even bigger issue is that those beefs have the potential to slow down the money.
“At the same time, we don’t wanna slow up the money,” he added. “I love Drake, I love Ross, I love Future… Those are my brothers; you can’t question my friendships.”

Drizzy’s Beef With Future & Ross Explained
Future and Drake’s issues took the main stage after Pluto and Metro Boomin dropped their 2024 project, We Don’t Trust You. In one of the songs, also named We Don’t Trust You Future raps:
“You’re a nigga number-one fan, dog. Sneak dissin’, I don’t understand, dog.
Pillowtalkin, actin’ like a fed, dog. I don’t need another fake friend, dog.”
Many perceived Future to be talking about Drake. In addition, this was also the project where Kendrick Lamar took his first shot at Drake on Like That, which ignited their beef.
Ross inserted himself into Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s beef with his song, Champagne Moments. In the song, he accuses Drake of getting a nose job. He also says that his issues with the OVO boss derived from his not clearing a verse for French Montana’s album.
Despite Khaled staying neutral, Drake doesn’t appear to view things that way.
Earlier this year, Khaled teased an upcoming new project on social media and initially said that two new Drake songs were supposed to be on the album.
However, Drake was quick to shut down that notion, which led to Khaled completely scrubbing the album promo from his social media.
