The night of April 21st, 2017 was a joyous occasion for any 90’s Hip-Hop fan. The Ruff Ryders were doing a reunion concert in Brooklyn, New York and every major member of the Ruff Ryder crew was present. As highly regarded as EVE and The LOX are the man that everyone was patiently waiting to see was Dark Man X himself. X still frequently does shows but being back with the whole crew in a venue of this size is something different.
DMX’s performance was the talk of the night but not necessarily in a great fashion. Fans that attended the concert were concerned in DMX’s health. Knowing that DMX has a checkered past when it comes to substance abuse many concert goers felt that X may have been under the influence during this concert due to his actions.
DMX went for a stretch where he seemed to be ranting and struggling to get through some of his song. DMX and The LOX will be headlining this year’s Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival. So let’s hope whatever happened on the night of April 21st gets cleared up by then.
