DMX Set to Drop Posthumous Album
More than four years after his tragic death, the famed Ruff Ryders member is now set to release a posthumous LP. The first single on the forthcoming project was released on Friday, May 30. The song is titled Bring Out The Worst and features Massachusetts rapper, Joyner Lucas.
“I’ve been doing this for too long, plus the dog is too strong. Let you catch, fight me off the map with a new song,” DMX raps on the new track. “You can bring out the best, or bring out the worst. You gonna bring out the worst, we gonna bring out the hearse.”
The will be DMX’s second posthumous studio album. His last project, Exodus, was released in May 2021. Less than a month after his tragic passing at just 50 years old.
Following the release of the album, legendary producer, Swizz Beatz discussed the late rapper’s excitement. About the album he had been working on before his passing.
“My brother X was one of the most pure and rare souls I’ve ever met,” the famed Ruff Ryders member said in a statement.
“He lived his life dedicated to his family and music. Most of all, he was generous with his giving and loved his fans beyond measure. This album, X couldn’t wait for his fans all around the world to hear. And show just how much he valued every single person that has supported him unconditionally.”
