Top5 is very much alive and not laying low.
The Toronto rapper, born Hassan Ali, re-emerged on social media this week after reportedly being stabbed in the neck during a trip to London a week ago. He was in the UK to support Drake during his Wireless Festival appearance, but the visit took a violent turn after what appears to be a targeted attack.
According to multiple reports, Ali was engaging with fans near the festival when a masked individual approached and stabbed him in the neck, sparking chaos in the area. Some initially assumed the injury was to his leg, but Top5 cleared that up himself.
Not long after the incident, he posted a photo of himself in Paris, standing in front of the Eiffel Tower with a neck bandage clearly visible. No caption, just vibes—and a not-so-subtle flex that he had bounced from the UK and touched down in France post-surgery.
Medical sources confirmed the neck wound didn’t hit any major arteries, and Top5 received emergency treatment before being discharged. It’s unclear how quickly he left the country, but he wasted no time reclaiming his narrative.
In true Top5 fashion, he followed up the Paris post with a meme of Donald Trump post-assassination attempt, followed by a cryptic gratitude message:
“Alhamdulillah for everything in my life. The good & the bad. Some were blessings & some were lessons.”
What really caught fans off guard was a screenshot Top5 shared of a private message exchange with none other than Kanye West. Ye appeared stunned by the rapper’s resilience, writing, “No way you made it to Paris. I want to know what you’re thinking n ur brain right now.” Top5’s reply? A mysterious, “They know I’m coming Ye…”
At the time of this writing, no suspects have been named and London authorities haven’t issued any updates on the investigation. But knowing Top5, this likely won’t be the last time we hear about it—from him or otherwise.
For now, he’s alive, healing, and turning trauma into content—Top5 style.
