Drake is officially back in album mode! After teasing his next studio album for months, Drake seems ready for the world to hear his “Iceman” project. Or at least some of it.
Drake Calls Out ‘Double Agents’ in New Iceman Snippet
On Friday (February 5) DJ Akademiks previewed a new song from Drake’s new project. In the snippet, Drake takes aim at “double agents.” Appearing to call out those individuals who stayed on the fence, during his 2024 rap feud with Kendrick Lamar.
“You know what? Don’t call me no greatest. Those guys that you say are great make that an understatement. F**k those guys they all are double agents,” he raps on the snippet.
Akademiks quickly shut down the clip, saying that “tonight is about J. Cole,” while also noting that “Iceman is on the way.”

Many fans perceived the double-agent lyric to be aimed at J. Cole. Remember the initial beef between Cole, Drizzy, and Kendrick Lamar? It started when Cole dubbed the three of them hip-hop’s”Big 3″ on Drake’s song First Person Shooter. After Kendrick fired back on Future & Metro Boomin’s “Like That,” Cole hit back on “Seven Minute Drill,” but quickly apologized and removed the track from the internet. Even worse, Cole appeared on Future & Metro Boomin’s track “Red Leather” weeks later, even though they were also beefing with Drizzy at the time.
The Lyric could also be aimed at Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James. After being a long-time cohort of Drake, James put his support behind K.Dot during their 2024 feud. He even was one of the attendees at Lamar’s pop-up concert in June of that Year, where he played his hit song “Not Like Us” an astonishing six consecutive times. In the aftermath of his feud with Lamar, Drake has unfollowed James on social media and removed his LeBron tattoo.
