Something’s brewing in the world of Drake—and all roads are starting to point toward a rollout unlike any before.

Just days after pushing back his July 29 show in Manchester to August 5 due to what Co-op Live Arena organizers vaguely labeled as “travel logistics,” the 6 God has now officially axed the postponed Australia and New Zealand legs of his Anita Max Wynn Tour.

Drake was originally slated to wrap up a 16-date trek through the region earlier this year—his first down under in nearly a decade. But in February, just before the final stretch in Brisbane, Sydney, and Auckland, fans were hit with a curveball: the last four shows were postponed due to a “scheduling conflict.”

At the time, reps for Drake promised they were “actively working on rescheduling these dates along with adding some additional shows.” Then… nothing. For five months, fans waited. And now? It’s officially a wrap.

Live Nation Australia finally confirmed the inevitable on Monday (July 29), issuing a statement that read:

“Despite extensive efforts to find a solution, rescheduling within the necessary timeframe was not possible. Drake remains committed to returning and performing these shows when his schedule permits.”

So what’s really going on?

Drizzy has remained relatively tight-lipped, but signs suggest his focus is locked in on Iceman, the mysterious new project he’s been teasing for months. Beyond name-dropping it during recent live shows, he’s been dropping cryptic YouTube episodes under the same title—part art film, part sneak peek. The visuals are eerie, atmospheric, and feature snippets of unreleased tracks, all pointing toward the sound and vision of whatever Drizzy’s new era brings. The most recent episode even included a cameo from Central Cee, fueling rumors of another UK x Toronto link-up.

While international fans might feel left in limbo, Drake hasn’t stopped moving. He’s currently rolling through Europe on his Some Special Shows 4 U run with PartyNextDoor, with Amsterdam up next on Wednesday, July 31.

The tour disruptions may be frustrating, but they also suggest something major is coming. If history’s any indicator, a pivot this big usually means Drake is looking to shift the culture once again.
