Drake has been in the mood to clear the air lately. And the rap star recently took to social media on Friday (November 14). To confront a viral rumor that has plagued him for more than a decade.
Drake Dispels Movie Theater Incident After a Decade
Drake took to the comments section of an Instagram post on Friday to address a rumored altercation between him and one of T.I.’s friends that ended with him being peed on. However, the Grammy-winner recently dispelled that rumor. Simply noting that it is not true. ‘
“Nuh man never pissed on me in life that story was for the net cause mans don’t have sh*t to say to get their interviews watched [laughing emoji],” he wrote, as captured by Live Bitez.
However, despite the truth coming from the horse’s (or Owl’s) mouth, fans still were not buying what Drizzy was selling.
“Sir, people were there and saw it happen…. Bless His Heart,” one fan wrote in the comments section of the Instagram post.
“Waiting almost 10 years to clear up a rumor like that is insane,” another user added.
“Whether it happened or not, why tf is this a topic?” a third user chimed in.
Drake’s comments are in response to a rumor that one of T.I.’s friends peed on him during the premiere of the 2009 movie, Taken. While many perceived the story to be speculative, Tip appeared to confirm the rumor on a song from his 2020 album, The L.I.B.R.A. (The Legend is Back Running Atlanta).
“While I’m fightin’ my own somehow got you home,” he spit. “So drunk in LA, end up pissin’ on Drake, shit / F*ck it, that’s still my brother since back in the trap house,” he raps.
Meek Mill also referenced the situation during his beef with Drake. In his 2016 track Wanna Know he raps:
“You let Tip homie piss on you in a movie theater, n***a, we ain’t forget.”
