Drake has already stamped himself as one of the greatest artists of all time. And with him already being one of the most decorated stars in the industry, he just secured another milestone that separates him from his contemporaries.
Drake Secures Another Major Streaming Milestone
Per a September 22 post from Chart Data, the Take Care creator just made Spotify history. By becoming the first-ever artist to surpass 120 million streams on Spotify. For context, the next closest artist is Taylor Swift, who has 110 billion streams across all credits.
Of course, fans on social media had a lot to say about Drizzy’s latest milestone.
“Taylor desperate a** couldn’t surpass him despite releasing music every [couple of] days,” one fan wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“His catalog continues to prove its global and lasting impact. Another record only Drake could set,” another user added.
“Numbers-wise, the boy outta here you not f******g creeping up,” another fan added, giving a nod to Drizzy’s Kendrick Lamar diss Push Ups.

Drizzy’s streams will only grow as fans anticipate the release of his latest project. His ninth studio album, titled “Iceman,” is set to drop before the end of the year.
This will be his first solo project since he released “For All The Dogs” in 2023. It will also be his first solo drop since his 2024 beef with Kendrick Lamar.
After the volatile beef with the Compton-born artist the pressure is on the Grammy-winner to deliver another classic. And he has rolled out the album through streams on his YouTube channel.
To this point, he has released three confirmed singles that will be on the upcoming project. “What Did I Miss?”, “Which One” featuring UK rapper Central Cee, and “Dog House” featuring rapper Yeat and singer Julia Wolf.
“Iceman” still does not have a confirmed release date yet. Stay tuned for more updates.
