Drake’s historic run continues following the release of a trilogy of new projects.
Drake Officially Breaks Michael Jackson’s Record
Drake has officially been immortalized in the record book. His hit record from his Iceman album, Janice STFU, took the top spot in this week’s Billboard Hot 100. This is significant because it officially gives him the most number one hits by a male solo artist. A record previously held by pop icon Michael Jackson (Via Kurrco/X).

Drake made even more history after the release of his new projects. He also has the number one album in the country. After Iceman was officially named the top album on the Billboard Hot 200 this week. Officially moving past Jay-Z for the most number one albums by a rapper (via ChartData/X). After selling 463,000 units in its first week. Iceman also has the tenth biggest streaming debut in U.S. History with over 462 million streams in its first week.
Of course, fans exploded with reactions after Drake collected another accolade for his repertoire.
“When you flood the market with 70+ songs in a short span, eventually one of them is going to hit No. 1 . This kinda water down the greatness,’ one user wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“We are witnessing a legacy. A living legend in our lifetime. The greatest of the Greats. What a time to be alive,” a second user chimed in.
“This generation’s Michael Jackson, and it’s not even close … I’ll die on this hill,” a third user remarked.
This indeed has been a historic run for Drake.
