For the past few years Drake has owed the radio and the charts. You can’t go anywhere without hearing a Drake record and he just keeps coming year after year. Tour after tour Drake stays out there and keeps performing. Drake tours so much you normally don’t see Drake perform on television, especially award shows. But this year Drake is said to have something special lined up for The Billboard Awards’ stage. Drake has been nominated for 22 Billboard Awards this year and has already won 10 of those awards. Drake has won; Top Rap Artist, Top Rap Album, Top Rap Tour, Top R&B Song, Top R&B Collaboration, Top Hot 100 Artist, Top Billboard 200 Artist, Top Streaming Song (Audio), Top Song Sales Artist and Top Streaming Songs Artist. All of these awards and the award show hasn’t even started yet.
Drake is being announced as the headliner of The Billboard Awards which airs on May 21, 2017, 8:00 PM EST. The award show will be hosted by Ludacris and Vanessa Hudgens and will take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Other than Drake this year’s award performers include; Nicki Minaj, Bruno Mars, John Legend, Cher, Celine Dion, Miley Cyrus, etc.
