Drake appears to be pulling out all of the stops for his forthcoming Iceman album.
Drake & 40 Set to Reunite on Forthcoming ‘Iceman’ Album
During the Wednesday (April 22) episode of the Joe Budden Podcast, the rapper-turned-podcaster revealed that Drake is set to reunite with one of his most noted producers, Noah “40” Shebib. Budden says knowing this gives him “a different level of anticipation and excitement” about Drizzy’s upcoming project.
“I’m hearing that 40 is back … I’m a fan of what they do together,” Budden said in a clip caught by Kurrco on X. “I think recently […] Drake has just gotten a lot of fans of whatever he’s been doing outside of 40. But 40 coming back, if that’s happening, then I think he steps up to the plate and does what he’s supposed to do.”

Of course, fans on social media were excited to hear about the upcoming reunion.
“Ngl when 40 is involved it’s a movie every time Crodie,” one user wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“We want Boi1da, Oz, and Mario too, this bout to be a movie,” a second user chimed in.
“Game changer, one of the best producers of this era,” a third user remarked.
40 has produced several of Drake’s biggest bangers. Including Marvin’s Room, God’s Plan, In My Feelings, and Nice for What.
But even though 40 and Drake have created some of his highest charting songs together, Budden says that he would be “disappointed” if Iceman sounds like the same old Drake.
“I would be disappointed if whatever we hear sounds like something we’ve heard,” Budden added. “‘Cause he’s in a space, I’m assuming, where he went through some sh*t he never went through before. […] High expectations.”
Drake’s new album is set to arrive on May 15.
