The world has been waiting anxiously for Drake to drop his forthcoming studio album, Iceman. And Drake finally dropped a release date for this new project … kind of.
Drake (Sort Of) Reveals Release Date For Iceman
Over the weekend, a large ice sculpture appeared in downtown Toronto. And many speculated that it could be related to the release of his ninth studio album.
Drake confirmed that in a social media post on Monday (April 20). In a post to his story, Drake posts a map of the location where the ice sculpture is located with the caption release date inside. It appears that when the sculpture is completely melted, the release date of the new album will be revealed.

After Drake’s post went viral, fans exploded with reactions.
“Somebody call Lil Wayne because we need the FIREMAN to melt that damn ice!!!” one person wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“That ice will melt in 2 months lol, don’t expect the album next week,” a second user chimed in.
“Someone check the weather forecast in Toronto and calculate how long for this shit to melt,” a third user remarked.
The album was initially slated to drop toward the end of 2025. But it was delayed several times. Now it appears that the rollout has officially begun for Drake’s new project. He is already off to a strong start with the rollout for the album. So fans are already clamoring for the ice to melt and the release date to be revealed. It will be interesting to see what the rap star has in store.
