Drake Trashes DeMar DeRozan Raptors Jersey During Latest Tour Stop

Drake may be looking to move on from his 2024 beef with Kendrick Lamar. But he still hasn’t forgotten who showed their true colors in the aftermath of Lamar’s smash hit “Not Like Us,” which took aim at Drizzy.

Drake is currently performing his Anita Wynn Maxx tour. And during a recent tour stop, he tookna dig at Sacramento Kings star DeMar DeRozan. During the show one fan seated in the lower bowl near the stage handed Drake a replica DeRozan Toronto Raptors jersey.

Drake initially was receptive. That was until he realized whose jersey it was. Upon realizing he was holding DeMar’s jersey, Drizzy spiked the jersey on the stadium floor.

The animosity between Drake and DeMar stems from Lamar’s Kendrick and Friends concert on Juneteenth of last year. This was at the height of “Not Like Us,” and during the song several of Drake’s contemporaries were on stage dancing to the song which takes aim at the Canadian artist.

DeRozan had cultivated a relationship with Drake during his time as a member of the Toronto Raptors. He also had a close relationship with Lamar as the two shared the same hometown of Compton, California.

“Kendrick is basically family. Obviously we’re from the same city, but that’s family. Whatever I ever need from him, I ask him and vice versa,” DeRozan said.

“When he did the song, he asked me to be a part of it, and whatever it is he’s doing, I’m going to be a part of it without a thought. That’s kind of always been our relationship.”

But despite being close friends with Kendrick, DeMmar insists he has no animosity toward Drake.

“Drake’s still my man, still my man, none of it changed,” DeRozan said. “It’s so easy to get overlooked and look at it for what it looks like, but at the end of the day it’s music, entertainment. Two of the biggest rappers in the world went at it from a competitive standpoint and they battled it out.”
