Drake is booked to make festival history this weekend in London, becoming the first artist ever to headline all three nights of Wireless Festival. The Canadian rapper, who’s graced the Wireless stage in past years, returns to Finsbury Park with a full-on residency-style run.
The three-night lineup reads like a curated playlist straight out of Drake’s own rotation. Friday kicks off with Summer Walker, Leon Thomas, and PartyNextDoor opening the show. Saturday’s lineup features BigXThaPlug and UK riser Nemzzz. And on Sunday, it’s a heavy mix of Afrobeats and dancehall stars like Burna Boy, Vybz Kartel, Popcaan, Spice, and Masicka warming up the stage before Drizzy’s finale.
In the days leading up to the event, Drake already appears to be crafting a larger-than-life experience for his fans. A clip circulating on X shows the rapper on a livestream with Adin Ross, floating the idea of flying a group of streamers out to the festival via private jet. “Should we get a streamer plane to Wireless for everybody? Should I get a big jet?” he asked, with Ross chiming in that he’d even stream mid-flight. Drake didn’t hesitate, replying, “Tell me the flight manifest and I’m gonna get the jet.”
Beyond the Wireless takeover, the shows also mark the official start of Drake’s forthcoming UK and European tour, set to stretch through September. It arrives as he enters his next musical chapter, following the release of his latest single, “What Did I Miss.” The song premiered via livestream last week, showing B-roll of Drake driving an ice truck through Toronto—later confirmed to be him behind the wheel.
The icy imagery ties into Drake’s new album, titled Iceman, his first solo project since 2023’s For All The Dogs. While a release date hasn’t been confirmed, the festival run feels like a signal that next era of Drake is about to heat up in a major way.
