Drake and Jay-Z’s budding feud appears to have fully bloomed over the past couple of weeks. And now that their beef has been put on front street, fans are pulling out all of the receipts.

Of course, fans on social media had plenty of reactions to the resurfaced photo.
“Some people drop subliminals in songs. Drake drops screenshots and lets social media do the rest,” one user wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“Drake entering his Michael Corleone era after Don Vito’s funeral era! Let the games begin,” a second user chimed in.
“Jay survived Nas, but Solange had him fighting for his life in business casual,” a third user remarked.
What is the lore behind Drake’s post of Solange? He appears to be referencing the 2014 incident where Solange Knowles attacked Jay-Z in an elevator after the Met Gala after-party in New York City. The incident was captured on surveillance video, showing Solange kicking and the Grammy winner while Beyoncé stood by. The altercation reportedly stemmed from a disagreement regarding designer Rachel Roy. And of course, it went viral on social media.
But the dust eventually settled. Beyoncé even references the incident on the remix of her 2014 hit record, Flawless, with Nicki Minaj.
