Ebro and Rosenberg Call on Fat Joe to Stop Defending His Use of the N-Word

Ebro Darden and Peter Rosenberg are weighing in on the controversy surrounding Fat Joe’s continued use of the N-word.

During a discussion on Ebro, Laura & Rosenberg, the radio hosts argued that Fat Joe should stop defending his use of the word. They emphasized that being deeply connected to Hip-Hop culture or growing up around Black people does not give anyone a permanent pass to use language many consider harmful and offensive.

Their comments add to the ongoing debate about race, cultural identity and accountability within Hip-Hop—and whether acceptance in the past should excuse behavior being challenged today.
