Ebro Darden isn’t feeling the latest reports about 50 Cent’s rumored performance at Donald Trump Jr.’s private MAGA club.
During a recent episode of The Ebro Laura Rosenberg Show, the radio host blasted news that 50 Cent is expected to perform at the Executive Branch in Washington, D.C., on July 3 as part of America’s 250th anniversary celebrations. He also called out other hip-hop artists who’ve appeared at the club, including Busta Rhymes, Ja Rule and Timbaland.
“I think it’s whack for all of y’all… And I know y’all don’t need the money,” Ebro said, arguing the artists are likely chasing business opportunities rather than simply a paycheck.
Ebro added that the timing makes the reported performances even more disappointing, saying many of the communities these artists come from are dealing with the political fallout of current events.
The criticism comes after reports surfaced that 50 Cent will take the stage at the exclusive Georgetown club, which reportedly charges a $500,000 annual membership fee and was co-founded by Donald Trump Jr. in 2025.
The booking is notable given 50’s previous comments about avoiding politics. In a 2024 interview with The Breakfast Club, the G-Unit boss said he declined a reported $3 million offer to perform at Donald Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally because he was “afraid of politics,” adding, “I stay away from religion, I stay away from politics.”
