Bad Bunny had one of the most-viewed Halftime Show performances at Super Bowl 60. Still, many people were critical of the halftime show. One of those was rapper-turned-podcaster Mase.
On a recent Episode of his and Cam’ron’s sports talk show, It is What it Is, the Harlem native rated Bad Bunny’s performance a four out of ten. He also campaigned for Chris Brown to headline the next event.
Ebro Hits Back at Mase over Bad Bunny Comments
“I can think of several artists that could’ve done a better job [than Bad Bunny],” he said. “I would rate [Bad Bunny’s performance] a four out of 10. Don’t know how everyone feels about Chris Brown personally, but [he’s] way overdue.”
Bad Bunny has not responded to Mase’s comments. But hip-hop personality Ebro did. The former Hot 97 host called out Mase for being hypocritical and noted that he has used homages to Puerto Rican culture in his music. He also pointed out Mase’s alignment with the Donald Trump administration.
“I didn’t even finish watching what Mase had to say,” Ebro admitted during a recent episode of The Ebro Laura Rosenberg Show.
“I just know that he gave it a four out of 10. Mase, weren’t you doing Puerto Rican judo in one of your first hit songs? The experience of Puerto Ricans is the experience of every oppressed minority in the United States. But we walk away on some selfish, ‘I wish it was me,’ or ‘It should’ve been me.’ … Meanwhile, Mase weren’t you listed in the Trump-supporting rappers list?”
