On Saturday (April 25), rap star Megan Thee Stallion revealed that she had split from her NBA star boyfriend, Klay Thompson, after he allegedly cheated on her.
Ebro Offers Perspective on Meg, Klay Split
Once the rapper revealed that she had split from the NBA All-Star, the story quickly went viral. And on Monday (April 27), radio host Ebro Darden offered an interesting perspective about the breakup. Ebro says that even though Megan Thee Stallion is a “big deal,” Klay Thompson is a “bigger deal.”
He also said that he believes that Klay genuinely had intentions of being in a monogamous relationship with the Grammy winner. But he ultimately resorted to his old ways.
“I believe that he wanted, and tried to be somebody that he wasn’t,” Ebro said during Monday’s episode of The Ebro Laura Rosenberg Show. “Meg was over there with the family. She even wrote in her IG post about ‘I went to the family, and I’m doing this, and I’m doing that.’ I don’t believe Klay would’ve introduced you to his family if he wasn’t serious… He was probably trying. The problem is he’s used to being a different person.”
Ebro says klay Thompson made 300 million with the golden state warriors has 4 rings and played with Steph curry he’s a bigger deal then Megan thee stallion so he’s surprised that people thought he wasn’t going to cheat pic.twitter.com/X359Ck1TDL

In a post to her social media account over the weekend, Megan talked about having to deal with Klay’s “mood swings” during the NBA season. Ebro credited that to Thompson being on the back end of his career. He also said that if Klay had been more “honest” about where he was in his career, he probably would have made a different choice.
“In an athlete’s context, he had a terrible season last year. This is the beginning of the end for an athlete… it causes someone’s ego to spiral,” Ebro continued. “I’m not making excuses. He’s a cheater, according to Megan. He screwed up. If he had been more aware and honest as to where he is in his life, he might’ve been able to handle this a little differently.”
