Egypt Criss, the daughter of Hip-Hop legends Treach and Pepa, is addressing the backlash following her recent boxing match loss.

After suffering a knockout defeat in her debut bout, Criss took to Instagram to respond to the criticism surrounding the fight. In a video post, she made it clear that the loss is only the beginning of her journey in the sport and suggested that people pointing fingers at others are missing the bigger picture.

Her comments appear to reference the public criticism from her father Treach, who previously blamed her husband, Sam Wright, for her stepping into the ring against such a highly accomplished opponent.

Despite the setback, Criss says she remains motivated and focused on continuing her boxing career. In the caption accompanying her video, she reassured supporters that she’s far from discouraged.

“Your girl still good! Coming back stronger than ever! My fire is fueled,” she wrote.

Criss also emphasized that the fight was just the start of what she hopes will be a longer run in boxing, signaling that fans can expect to see her back in the ring soon.
