The New York Knicks had a chance to take a 3-1 lead over the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday Night (June 11). So, of course, Madison Square Garden was flooded with celebrities.
ESPN Analyst Questions Swift’s Knicks Fandom on Hot Mic
The usual tastemakers were in attendance, such as Tracy Morgan, Fat Joe, and Timothee Chamalet. But there was also a rare appearance by special guest, Taylor Swift. However, one ESPN commentator did not appear to be too pleased with Swift’s attendance at the Garden. That person is ESPN’s Monica McNutt.
In a clip caught by Barstool Sports on X, McNutt can be heard questioning Swift’s Knicks fandom on a hot mic.
“Is that Taylor Swift down there? She’s not a Knicks fan. Get out of here, girl,” she says in the clip.

Of course, fans had a lot to say in the comments section of the post.
“Sick of Taylor Swift. Bad enough seeing her all football season; now it’s basketball season too. Too much, and she is trying too hard to fit in,” one user wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“But she’s not a Knicks fan, it’s not hating but fact,” a second user chimed in.
“Well, she did sit courtside for the Cavs when they played the Knicks. It was like two weeks ago,” a third user chimed in.
Madison Square Garden will also be the venue for Swift’s upcoming wedding. She and Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce are reportedly scheduled to tie the knot in July. And with a guest list of over 1,000 people, they have reportedly chosen the World’s Most Famous Arena as their venue.
