The New York Knicks are back in the Eastern Conference Finals for the second consecutive year. And with a chance to secure their first NBA Finals berth since 1999, the franchise is doing everything it can to bring the energy back to Madison Square Garden.
Fabolous Shuts Down MSG With Halftime Performance
With the Knicks set to take on the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 1 on Tuesday (May 19), rap artist Fabolous was one of the celebs in the building for the matchup. The Brooklyn native was also the halftime entertainment for the evening. He hyped up the crowd with a performance of his hit song You Be Killin ‘Em to get the fans pumped for the second half.

Of course, fans on social media had a lot to say about the performance.
Knicks overtime win. Fabulous Halftime show. It’s a beautiful night in the heart of the city,” one user wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“That Fabolous Halftime Performance Was Hard To Watch,” a second user chimed in.
The real performance was on the court. As the Knicks and the Cavs put on one of the more memorable performances of the playoffs so far.
That effort was spearheaded by Knicks All-Star guard Jalen Brunson.
After trailing by 22 points with seven minutes to go in the fourth quarter, Brunson put on his Superman cape. He scored 16 points in the fourth quarter and overtime to lead the Knicks to a 115-104 victory and a 1-0 lead in the series.
