Kid Rock and Eminem have been friends since the 90s. It’s a fact that’s become lost on some people, given their stark political differences. But back in 1990, Rock was one of Em’s earliest supporters. As time went on, they fell out a bit, one of the bigger examples coming when Rock wasn’t included in Eminem’s Detroit tribute performance.

But now, it appears they’re patching things up with the thing that bonded them — music. This week, Kid Rock dropped his new Gospel rap album, Halfway To Jesus, which not only features fellow Trump supporter Lil Wayne, but staunch democrat Eminem.
The song “Heal My Faith” is the first collab between the Detroit duo since Rock appeared in Em’s “Bezerk” video in 2013.
Em’s verse is centered on their friendship.
“Brought us closer to each other, we did the “F*** Off” track. And never got the fuck off track, we both from the D. And I never forgot that, so when you see. Someone like me having Rock’s back ’cause both of us be. Off our rockers, how far back we go ’cause if we. Were tippin’ over, R.I.P. to Joe to the C. From shock rap to the rock rap, my homie and me. He is my brother, not my political enemy. B.O. to the B., we wrote this for those who believe. In G.O. to the D, however you voted or lean. Liberal and evangelical can agree.”
How Did Fans React To Eminem & Rock
Many fans were outraged at this pairing.
“‘Not choosing sides’”’ when one side is for genocide and hatred. I expected better from you man smh,” one user posted.
“Been a fan since 2000, so let me just say that this is a s*** move, and definitely feels like choosing sides,” another user posted.
“If you have to put out a PSA explaining why you’re doing something, you probably already know it doesn’t look right. P.S. Aye, heal that weak ass, choppy flow you’ve been stuck doing,” another user posted.
Not about choosing sides, just choosing to make music with my old friend. Praying for all of us. #HealMyFaith @KidRock https://t.co/MtjaVfYm6L pic.twitter.com/JALVnwfw6C
