Rick Ross is known as a braggadocious, luxury flaunting, rapper who only does the finer things in life. However, a fan caught him doing something us regular people do.
What Did Rick Ross Do?
In a couple images posted by a fan, Rick Ross is seen hanging out in a crowded airport, hoodie up to conceal his face. He’s not in a lounge, nor in an airline club or first class lounge. Instead, he’s waiting in a crowded terminal like everyone else.
This comes after he announced a delay for his new album Set In Stone, which has been moved to July 17th. Lately, Ross has been in the news more for hot takes than music, especially after getting dissed on Drake’s new album Iceman.
There’s no shame in being economical during these uncertain times. However, Ross consistently preaches and flaunts a luxurious lifestyle so naturally, fans were left a bit baffled. Many even connected Drake’s line on “Whisper My Name,” to the predicament.
“If I’m lying I’m flying economy, I bet I know who I see,” Drake raps.

How Did Fans React To The Photos?
Due to Ross’ reputation, fans felt the need to clown him not living his raps.
“Drakes diabolical for that one… i didn’t know what he was talking about,” one user posted.
“I just wanna see the boy struggle with the paymentsssss,” another user posted.
“Is this really him? He must not be worth 180 million since even people with far more meager circumstances will find any way they can to get out of Cattle Car Class,” another user posted.
However, According2HipHop users had more measured takes, with some making fun of Ross, and others finding some understanding.
“Not the biggest boss trying to save money,” Cacique Cespedes posted.
“Most people clowning can’t jump on a flight so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ shout out to good money management. He’s flying home to a mansion so ….,” Merker Miyagi posted.
“With the way he be flossing. I know you lying! I’m not buying it. I don’t believe everything is AI but this is AI forsure and somebody planted him in that seat,” Shaniece Owens-Sims posted.
“He said like 10yrs ago he saves money flying commercial. He’s still gonna sit in 1st Class so no big deal,” Michael S. Lee II posted.
In Ross’ book, The Perfect Day to Boss Up, he admitted to usually taking economy flights.
“Now, I would love to kick off this book by telling you I was getting on a chartered jet to go procure a hundred kilos from a plug in Cartage-na. But that would be a fabrication,” Rick Ross wrote in his book. “I have to be honest. First of all, I was flying commercial that day, as I usually do. The PJs are nice for family vacations and romantic getaways, but when you fly as often as I do, the cost of flying private adds up quick. Flights are one of the few times l’m able to get some sleep, so to spend all that extra when I’m just going to be getting my beauty rest always seems like a waste of money. First class treats me just fine.”
Ross has not commented on the situation at this time.
