Fat Joe recently shared a wild coincidence involving Desiigner that, in hindsight, feels almost surreal.

During the latest episode of his podcast Joe and Jada with Jadakiss, the Bronx legend shared that he actually saw the “Panda” rapper just hours before the infamous 2023 plane incident where Desiigner exposed himself mid-flight.
The topic came up while two hip-hop vets were discussing the upsides of being a one-hit wonder. Jada brought up Desiigner’s breakout smash, “Panda,” and Fat Joe was quick to agree that the track was a monster.
“Oh, yo, ‘Panda, Panda,’ is the one,” Joe said with a laugh. “He sold 10 million on that, right?”
Jada nodded, adding that Desiigner made “a sh*t load of money” off the track. Then Joe hit ‘em with a curveball:
“You know what’s crazy? I seen him in Dubai in the airport that day,” he said. “The same f*cking day. He seemed so normal. I’m like, ‘Yo, what’s up, man?’ Then the next thing I know, when I arrive in the States… tumblin’ dice.”

That “tumblin’ dice” moment Joe’s talking about? It was April 2023, when Desiigner was hit with federal charges for indecent exposure after allegedly masturbating in front of a flight attendant on a plane from Tokyo to Minneapolis. He later pleaded guilty and was ordered to register as a sex offender.
In a 2024 sit-down with Adam22 on No Jumper, Desiigner tried to explain what happened. He blamed a cocktail of jet lag, prescription meds, and poor nutrition for the bizarre behavior.
Desiigner also revealed that the moment he landed back in the U.S., he was met by the FBI. The Brooklyn MC says he feared the worst—that the world would label him a “pervert.”
Whether it was a one-off breakdown or something deeper, the moment left a mark—and even Fat Joe is still trying to make sense of it all.
