Details continue to be released about the alleged armed robbery and kidnapping committed by rap star Pooh Shiesty and eight other men.
FBI: Gucci Mane Gave Statement on Alleged Pooh Sheisty Robbery
According to a new report from the Dallas Morning News, the FBI says that Gucci Mane provided statements to the police. That were instrumental in securing a warrant to arrest the group of men.
“Most of the complaints relied on statements that Gucci Mane and the other alleged victims told police. After being called to the scene by a member of Gucci’s security on the night of the incident,” the report reads, as caught by XXL.
In the complaint, the feds say they believe that Pooh Shiesty was the ringleader. Of an ambush executed on Gucci Mane. In an effort to make him release the Back in Blood rapper from his record deal with 1017 Brick Squad.
The complaint alleges that Shiesty led Gucci to believe that they were meeting for a business meeting at his studio. And presented him with paperwork that would release him from his deal. However, Gucci declined. And when he did, the group of men entered the studio with Guns drawn, demanding that he sign the contract, granting the rap star his release.
But amid the coercion, the other men involved also stole multiple lucrative items from the other people who were at the studio with Gucci. Including Jewelry, Rolex watches, and cash.
The feds also claim they have a mountain of evidence against the men. Including ankle monitor data, bus tickets, toll bills, and photos that some of the men posted to their social media accounts, wearing the stolen items. They also claim to have Pooh Shiesty’s father on camera at a local Staples printing out the contract.
Gucci Mane has not spoken out about the investigation at all. Stay tuned for more updates.
