Former rap star Fetty Wap was taken in by the authorities nearly four years ago. The New Jersey native was arrested in 2021 for his participation in a drug trafficking ring.

Amid his prison sentence, a new photo of the one-time rap star surfaced on social media, with a noticeably different appearance.

And after seeing the photo, fans went crazy with their reactions on social media.

“I’ve tried ozempic. Maybe prison is the answer,” one fan said on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“Seem like he’s been in there forever. When is he coming home?” another fan asked.

“He looks really good now that he’s off them party drugs and hard liquor,” another user added.

Fetty was found guilty and sentenced to a six-year prison sentence in May 2023. With now less than two years remaining until his release date, the countdown is officially on. But some people believe that the rap star has served enough time.

In April, the rap star’s sister said she believes her brother deserves “redemption.”

April is Second Chance Month—a time to recognize that people deserve redemption, not just punishment,” his sister Divinity Maxwell-Butts wrote through his Instagram account. “My brother has taken responsibility and served over half his sentence for a nonviolent offense. He is scheduled to be released in 2027, but justice should also mean mercy.”

She also added: “His sentence should be commuted so he can come home to his family, his children, and his purpose. It’s time.”

Fetty burst onto the rap scene in 2015 with his hit song “Trap Queen,” which spent months on the Billboard charts. After the song was nominated for two Grammy awards, it appeared that the New Jersey rap star’s career was about to take off. But that never happened due to his arrest in 2021
