Fetty Wap has given fans a rare update from behind bars, releasing his first prison photo since 2024.
The snapshot, posted to Threads this week, shows the rapper standing against a wall with his arms folded. He captioned the image: “Free Zoo till Zoo Free,” signing off as “Mr.1738.”
The last time Fetty Wap shared a picture from prison was in 2024, when he posted — and later deleted — an Instagram photo with a fellow inmate. At the time, he wrote: “You never know where life’ll take you but you find some good ppl along the way. I got a few homies I met during my time down that’s real stand-up n**as… my brudda Tay Banga da Prez & Da Mobsta.”*
Why is Fetty Wap in prison?
The rapper was named in a sweeping federal indictment in October 2021, accused of participating in a drug trafficking ring that allegedly distributed narcotics across the country.
He was arrested that same month on federal drug charges and initially released on a $500,000 bond. However, in August 2022, Fetty Wap was sent back to jail after violating the terms of his release ahead of his trial.
