The Drake curse hit Conor McGregor harder than anyone could have predicted and now it appears Drizzy has marked another. Over the weekend, Drake posted who he bet on to win the World Cup.
Who Did Drake Bet On?
On Instagram, Drake, very aware of his recent betting streak, posted a slip for a $1.5M bet on Argentina with the caption: “What’s that saying??? Better luck next time…say less,” Drake posted.
Last time Drizzy bet on Argentina in a World Cup final, he lost. Granted, the team beat France in penalties. However, Drake bet on the Leo Messi-led squad to win within regular time, which didn’t happen, leading to a loss.
Recently, the Drake curse has been in full effect, as his bet on Conor McGregor last week went belly up within minutes. McGregor came out and threw a jump kick at Max Holloway, landing on his leg and clearly compromising his knee. After a few strikes, McGregor’s knee buckled and he went down, leading to a quick TKO victory for Holloway.
Prior to the McGregor bet, Drake rode a 2-bet win streak, cashing on both Canada and Morocco in their knockout stage wins.
The History Of The Drizzy Curse?
The 6God has lost many bets, as tracked by the Drakecurse.com.
He’s been on the wrong side in three Israel Adesanya fights, leaving Izzy 0-3 when he wagers on him.
He also bet the Patriots to beat the Seahawks, which was never close. Maybe his most perplexing loss came when he wagered 200K on Jake Paul to take out former Heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, which resulted in a TKO loss for Paul.
Fans sounded the alarms under Drizzy’s post.
“Lmao betting my whole life on Spain now,” One user posted.
“looks like messi isn’t going 2 for 2,” another user posted.
“Why’d u have to curse the goat bro,” another user posted.
Fans will find out if Drake cursed the GOAT Sunday night when the 2026 World Cup Champion is crowned.
