Memphis rapper Finesse2tymes has been arrested on drug possession charges once again—and this time, he’s publicly pointing the finger at fellow rapper Moneybagg Yo.
On Thursday (Jan. 15), Finesse2tymes, born Ricky Hampton, was booked in Rusk County, Texas, on multiple charges, including possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana, according to police records. He has since been released on bond.
The arrest adds to a growing list of recent legal troubles for the rapper. In September, Finesse and his girlfriend, Halle Buckingham, were both arrested on drug charges in Smith County, Texas. Just a month later, he was taken into custody again in Harris County on similar possession charges.
Following his latest arrest, Finesse took to Instagram Stories to air out his frustrations, alleging that Moneybagg Yo was responsible for law enforcement targeting him. “Bagg put the police on me,” he wrote, before adding in a follow-up post that he felt people wanted to see him locked up. He also minimized the seriousness of the charges and accused unnamed critics of hating.
In an Instagram Live session later that day, Finesse escalated his claims, accusing Moneybagg Yo of associating with a snitch. He also revealed that his girlfriend was arrested again on Thursday and remains jailed on what he described as a federal warrant. The livestream ended with Finesse continuing to call out rappers he says align with informants and challenging anyone with an issue to confront him directly.
As of now, Moneybagg Yo has not publicly responded to the accusations.
