Rap artist Finesse2Tymes and Bone Thugs & Harmony group member Layzie Bone have been engaged in a war of words over the use of one of the group’s samples. During one of the exchanges, Layzie Bone referred to finesse as a “grasshopper” because of his lack of knowledge on the subject matter.
Finesse2Tymes Responds to Layzie Bone
In his most recent response, Finesse2Tymes admitted to not doing his research, but still was not fond of Layzie Bone’s choice of words.
“So when he responded, he responded how he was supposed to because I was wrong. You get me? But n***a I’m still a man, don’t call me no mu**********g grasshopper n***a,” he said during a recent appearance on Traps N Trunks. “So even when I see him in person, I’m still gonna tell him I ain’t no grasshopper n***a. I’m a grown ass man, I call my little kids grasshoppers. So I called his ass a mu**********g jive turkey. And it was what it was. You wanna call me some old school s**t, I’m gonna call you some old school s**t right back.”
Finesse2Tymes admits he owed Layzie Bone an apology after doing more research — but says being called “grasshopper” crossed the line 😂 Apology stands, respect still required.

Last year, Finesse2Tymes revealed that he tried to use one of the group’s beats. But he was quoted $40,000 for the use of the sample. This led to the artist going on a social media rant. Layzie responded by telling him that the beat did not belong to the group. Because it is Biggie Smalls’ song, Bad Boy owns the rights to the record.
Finesse2Tymes admitted to his ignorance and believes that he owes the rapper an apology.
“Just to clear it up, I do owe him an apology because it wasn’t his record,” he added. “I didn’t do the proper research because, as a fan, I always thought it was their song.”
