Fivio Foreign is looking to turn a legal corner. The Brooklyn drill rapper has pleaded guilty to a third-degree terroristic threats charge, a move that could help him secure a more lenient sentence.

The case stems from a January 1 incident in Edgewater, New Jersey. Authorities say Fivio—real name Maxie Ryles III—allegedly pulled a gun on a woman who had approached him for help jumpstarting her car. Things escalated quickly, with Fivio reportedly warning her, “If I see you parked in front of this building again, there is going to be a fucking problem.”
He was arrested a few weeks later and initially faced multiple charges: unlawful possession of a weapon, aggravated assault, and making terroristic threats.
Now, with his guilty plea in place, Fivio’s legal team is optimistic. His attorney, Adam Lustberg, believes the remaining charges will be dropped and says probation is a realistic outcome—especially since the rapper has been in custody since January. Sentencing is scheduled for August.
This isn’t Fivio’s first legal dust-up in the Garden State. In April 2021, he was arrested in Fort Lee after officers allegedly found a loaded gun on him. He attempted to flee the scene but was later apprehended and charged with eluding police and possession of a defaced firearm.
