Clayton Howard, a man who claims to have been an escort for Diddy and Cassie, filed a civil suit against the couple. But that suit suffered a major setback because of a video he posted online back in June.
Howard Responds to Cassie’s Harrassment Claims
According to a Tuesday (July 7) report from TMZ, Clayton has responded to a video Cassie’s lawyer entered into evidence. A clip posted to Howard’s TikTok where he told Cassie: “B**h, I’m going to burn you out with fire.”
Cassie’s legal team says that the remarks were harassing. But now Clayton is coming forward with a declaration. And claims that he “voluntarily” removed the video from his social media account. But also insists that he never threatened Cassie.
“I have never threatened physical harm or violence against [Cassie Ventura], against any member of her legal team, or against any person, whether in the video or otherwise,” Howard said (via Hot97). “Nothing I said in the video was said with the intent to threaten, intimidate, or place any person in fear of physical harm, and I did not consciously disregard any risk that my words would be understood that way.”
He also has vowed to “refrain from public commentary” during the remainder of the legal proceedings.
Howard claims that Diddy and Cassie recruited him as an escort via Backpage. And the pair arranged for him to travel between New York, Los Angeles, and Miami from 2012 to 2019. He says he was paid between $1,500 and $6,000 to participate in “freak offs” where Diddy would watch him and Cassie have sex.
